Banteng

COWSPOTTING SCORE:★★★★

A different bovine species than cattle but they're still called cows. I like the white spot on their rump that looks like a deer pattern. They are only found in Southeast Asia.

Holstein-Friesian

COWSPOTTING SCORE:★

The classic cow. The most common dairy cow in the US so I see them a lot. Their pattern is really pretty and the calves have really disproportionately long legs which is cute. There's also rare red and white ones kind of like a shiny pokemon.

Red Angus

COWSPOTTING SCORE:★

Another very common cow in the US. Among the common single-color Black Angus and white Charolais, I like the red hide of these the best.

Hereford

COWSPOTTING SCORE:★

Last of the very common cows. I really like their white bottom and face pattern and the eye spot some of them have. And they have kind of fluffy heads. These are nice to see with so many single-color beef cows in the US.

Brown Swiss

I love the white to light brown ombre color. Sort of similar to my favorite breed :O. This is the 3rd most common dairy breed in the US which is pretty rare because 90% of dairy cows are Holstein.

I love red cows and these have such a beautiful deep red color. They're mostly found in France but some are in the US.

The huge horns look amazing in person.

A very unique looking cow. Very fluffy and very cute looking hair on their head. Just rare enough in the US that it's always exciting to see them.

This breed has a gene mutation that makes them super muscular. They look so cool and I like the grey color on their necks too.

Belted Galloway

My favorite relatively common breed in the US. The belt is so distinctive from far away and they look pretty fluffy close up.

I looove their white with brown spots hide and I like how dairy cows are shaped so I think these are really cute.

This breed is a cross with Zebu. They look huge and the blue color is actually blueish in person which is surprising. Very impressive cow.

The color and pattern on these are amazing. They're very rare but possible to see in the US.

Zebu are a South Asian subspecies of cattle. They're resilient and have a distinctive hump on their back. I love their weird look and grey color.

Such a beautiful pattern! This breed is endangered so probably not possible to see in person without planning a trip.

My favorite cow breed! These cows have such a cute head that looks like a deer. Their color and their lighter eyebrow and nose is sooo pretty. The ears on Jersey cows are adorable as well.
